WEST BOWLING booked their place in the final of the Bradford & District Senior Sunday Cup last night with a 3-0 win over Thornbury Celtic.

Thornbury caused Bowling early problems and, but for a great save from keeper Ashley Onitiri after 29 minutes, they could have easily opened the scoring.

A bad knee injury to Ben Bodle interrupted the game but the added minutes in the first half allowed Bowling to go in front. Glyn Hirst crossed from the right and Chris Wood headed into Andrew Gallagher's path for him to squeeze home from close range.

Bowling reshuffled at half-time and, with Thornbury tiring, created chances. James Firth brought the ball out of defence and passed to Michael O'Brien, who slipped a great ball for Joe Jagger to make it 2-0.

After 68 minutes, Jagger scored his second goal when he flicked the ball with the outside of his boot over the keeper following an Andrew Kenyon cross.

Bowling are now in two cup finals this season, with another County Cup semi-final to come.
