THE wet weather is continuing to cause havoc with Sunday football.

All grass pitches owned by Bradford, Leeds and Kirklees councils have been deemed unfit so the backlog of league, West Riding County Cup and District Cup games grows ever longer.

To add to the complication District cup matches will take preference over any other fixture next Sunday.

Only two Bradford Sunday Alliance matches are scheduled to go ahead tomorrow and Thornton United will be involved in both.

The first team are away at Bradford Moor who play at Bradford Academy and the second team are at home in the West Riding County Trophy against Shepherd Arms at Thornton Grammar School's artificial pitch.

West Bowling's tough West Riding County Cup tie against Fforde Green has fallen victim of the weather. It is now due to be played Emsley's Recreation Ground on January 24 as West Bowling are involved in an all Premier Division Bradford Senior District Cup tie at Oakenshaw in Harold Park, next week.
