Just above bottom club Moor in the top flight are Buttershaw Celtic, who have only gained one point so far but have played better than their league position suggests.

This victory lifted Sandy Lane to within five points of leaders Albion.

Peel Park are hovering in third and took an early 2-0 lead against Napoleons Casino through a long-range effort from Allan Morley Jnr and Sean Jack, who finished off a superb counter-attack with a quality left-foot drive from the edge of the area.

The home team pulled a goal back midway through the second half and were piling on the pressure but the visitors' defence held up well.

Peel restored their two-goal lead when Allan Morley Snr scored on a counter-attack but Napoleons immediately pulled a goal back and Peel were hanging on until the final whistle at 3-2. Lee Smith and Jamie Brennan netted for Napoleons.

Swaine Green notched an 8-1 victory over Red Lion in the Division One, Kyle Shah bagging a hat-trick against his old club.
