Salthorn WMC will face Queen Hotel in the Bradford & District FA Sunday Cup final after both survived tough last-four clashes.

The two ties at Rawdon Meadows were both decided by the odd goal, with Salthorn edging out Mill Lane Reserves 1-0 while Hotel got the better of Salts Seconds 3-2.

The decisive goal for Division 2B outfit Salthorn came after Aaron Williams put in Paul Bell, who celebrated his 22nd birthday in style on the hour mark.

Division 2A side Mill Lane had earlier been indebted to their keeper for preserving the stalemate as he saved two Andrew Fieldhouse free-kicks.

Meanwhile, Queen Hotel followed up their previous week’s Amateur Cup semi-final victory by reaching another final to make it an all-Bradford Sunday Alliance League affair at Fields FC on Tuesday, April 8 (7pm).

The Division 3B team were made to work hard before booking their progress as they recovered from two goals down to beat Wharfedale League opponents Salts Seconds after extra time.

Salts looked odds on to win as they moved 2-0 up early in the second half playing against the wind and still led going into the last five minutes as they defended stoutly.

But continuous Hotel pressure led to Saqlain Shah pulling one back at the far post and two minutes later Dean Louch levelled from the penalty spot.

A great through ball from Nicholas Brack then gave substitute Blake Colcombe the chance to hit the extra-time winner.

Meanwhile, league action saw unbeaten Buttershaw White Star drop only their second Premier Division point of the season as they were held to a 0-0 draw at home to fourth-bottom Relay.

Leaders West Bowling took advantage with a 7-0 win against basement side Mill Lane.

A second-half hat-trick by half-time substitute Phil Brogan followed two goals before the interval from Chris Wood.

Thornton United moved into mid-table security with a 9-4 goal spree at Peel Park, which included hat-tricks from Deroy White and Dave Wilson.

There was a huge shock in Division One as rock-bottom Lane Ends stunned leaders Buttershaw Celtic 3-2.

Hosts Celtic had needed a victory to clinch promotion but will have to wait at least another week after getting caught on the break when pressing for a winner.

It was a second successive defeat for Buttershaw and second-placed Thornbury Celtic closed the gap to four points with a 2-1 win at White Eagles.

Division 1B pace-setters Red Lion beat bottom side Wrose Bull 6-0 to remain five points clear.

Closest rivals Swaine Green kept up the pressure by winning 2-1 against Alexander FC, with Aaron Heywood setting up both goals for strike partner Jordan Horsfall.

Swaine Green have a match in hand and the title could yet be decided when they meet Red Lion on April 20.

The Division 2A summit meeting between leaders Oddfellows Celtic and second-placed Aire Athletic finished 2-2, leaving Oddfellows two points clear having played a game more. The two title rivals clash on March 30.

Cartwright Lister dropped their first Division 2B points of the season as they were stunned 2-1 by mid-table Saltaire Rangers, who won courtesy of goals by William Lowther and Danny Taylor.

Eccleshill WMC beat Queensbury 5-3 to preserve their 100 home record in Division 3A, although it got a bit tense after they had led 4-0. Andy Corker made the result safe with a 30-yard shot.
