Stanningley Albion are preparing for perhaps their toughest Bradford Sunday Alliance League fixture since winning promotion to the Premier Division.

Fifth place represents a solid start for a Stanningley side who have made rapid progress through the divisions over the last few years.

But they now face a big test at home to a Buttershaw White Star side who are challenging for the title most seasons and currently occupy second place.

White Star are unbeaten in the league this campaign but will still be sore after bowing out of the National FA Cup to Fforde Grene in Leeds last weekend.

Defending champions West Bowling, who are in third position, also have a promoted team to contend with as they host mid-table Peel Park.

Leaders Sandy Lane, who are five points clear of White Star and Bowling but have played several games more, travel to East Bierley to take on Wyke Wanderers.

Perhaps the pick of the games in Division One sees third-placed Manningham entertaining leaders Buttershaw Celtic.

But Napoleons Casino, in second place and with games in hand, are in form and waiting to cash in on any slip-ups as they welcome inconsistent Oakenshaw.

Meanwhile, the delayed Bradford & District Sunday Senior Cup third-round tie between Allerton and Buttershaw White Star will now be played on Sunday, January 19.

Mill Lane await the winners of that match, before a semi-final date against Swaine Green.
