The match of the round in the Bradford Sunday Alliance League's GOALS Intermediate Cup involved Division 2A leaders Oddfellows Celtic's trip to fellow unbeaten side Cartwright Lister, of Division 2B.

As expected, it was a close contest but Cartwright Lister were the better team in the early stages and took a deserved lead.

Bolton Woods Social won 2-1 at Beldon Sports, while Sporting Pudsey got the only goal against Swaine Green.

In the Premier Division game between Peel Park and Relay, visitors Relay took a deserved lead. However, the home team hit back with an Adam Turner brace to lead 2-1 at half-time.

The second half was end to end, and Relay levelled early in the second period via a deflected free- kick, only for Peel Park to grab a last-minute winner when Turner and Terry Hargreaves combined for the former to complete his hat-trick.

Leaders Sandy Lane had a 3-1 victory over Dudley Hill Rangers, with Danny Hook hitting a brace and Tony Burtt getting the other, while West Bowling took the points on offer against determined Wyke Wanderers, who scored via Carl Fawcett in the first half.

Clive Hurst bagged a brace for Wyke but further strikes from Chris Wood, James Crosland and a long-range strike from Joe Jagger kept the champions in contact with the top two.

Buttershaw White Star kept the pressure on Sandy Lane with a two-goal victory in a hard-fought game at Canal Road against Bolton Woods, Teboho Mpala and Steve Hollingworth netting.

Keeper Mark Bowers saved a penalty in the last minute to keep a clean sheet.

Victoria Rangers took the lead with a long-range screamer from Matty Holmes in the First Division against leaders Buttershaw Celtic but the visitors hit back to remain in pole position, Jamie Brennan hitting the equaliser and Rob Rowntree heading home the winner.

Napoleons Casino remain second, 11 points behind but having played four games less than the leaders, after a 5-1 victory over Cuedos Rangers.

In Division 1A's top-of-the-table clash between Pudsey Amateurs and Wyke Rangers, which was played in a tremendous spirit, the goals and the points were shared.

Nicky Darby put visitors Rangers ahead, with one of the few chances created in the match, but Preston Cooper equalised with five minutes remaining in a great end-to-end contest.

Dog and Gun gave a much better performance, defeating Whitburn Athletic 7-3, with skipper Phil Hall hitting a brace in the first half for the hosts.

There was an eight-goal thriller at Woodman Rovers, who entertained Queen Hotel, with the hosts going in front after two minutes only to concede five goals before half-time.

Rovers hit back with two late goals to make the score 5-3. Sam Prest and Dean Louch bagged first- half braces for the visitors, with Karl Ratcliffe scoring the fifth. Craig Louch and Prest were again outstanding for Queen Hotel.
