There is a return to domestic action this weekend after last week’s knockout exertions and the Bradford Sunday Alliance League’s four FA Sunday Cup entrants go head to head.

It could be a pivotal Sunday in the Premier Division as Thornton United face Buttershaw White Star at Manningham Mills and West Bowling take on Bolton Woods at Emsleys Rec.

White Star will be full of confidence after a terrific win against top amateur side Nicosia in the national competition, which earned them a third-round trip to Leeds to face Chapeltown Fforde Grene next month.

They could take over at the table summit if other results go their way on Sunday – but the same applies to West Bowling, who are at home to a Bolton Woods side who bowed out of the FA Sunday Cup 6-3 at Hartlepool Athletic Rovers.

Sandy Lane, who entertain mid-table Wyke Wanderers, currently lead the way – two points clear of White Star and Bowling, with Woods a further two points back in fourth.

The pick of the games in Division One looks to be Allerton at home to Cuedos, while the Division 1B highlight is the clash between Red Lion and Alexander.

The Pudsey teams clash in Division 2A as second-bottom United visit high-flying Sporting.
