ECCLESHILL United face a tricky away game against Division One leaders Knaresborough Town tomorrow after failing to capitalise on several postponements in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League in midweek.

They succumbed to a stoppage-time equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Winterton Rangers to leave themselves three points above the play-off places in the second automatic spot.

Luke Harrop’s excellent strike found the top corner in the fifth minute but the Eagles could not hold on until the final whistle, a last-gasp header earning Winterton a deserved point.

Campion secured a fine 3-2 win on Tuesday at play-off challengers Glasshoughton Welfare before travelling to face Bridlington in the cup last night. They also have a tough home fixture against third-placed Grimsby Borough tomorrow.

In the Premier Division, Albion Sports face high-flying Handsworth Parramore at the weekend while Thackley head to Athersley Recreation.

The NCE League have announced the extension of the season to Saturday, May 5 but Liversedge still have 11 league games to play in April, with the first of those being due at Garforth Town last night. They follow that with a home tie against Hemsworth Miners Welfare tomorrow.

Farsley Celtic have slipped out of the Evo-Stik Premier Division play-offs but took on Whitby Town at home last night looking to bounce back into the top five. They also face Stalybridge at the weekend.

Brighouse Town have been on a dreadful run in the Evo-Stik North and they have not won since January. They were due to travel to Ossett Town yesterday looking to arrest that slump. They take on Glossop at home tomorrow too.

Various issues put paid to Silsden's game with Holker Old Boys this week but they will be looking to maintain their lead at the top of the North West Counties League Division One by beating New Mills AFC tomorrow.
