ALBION Sports reclaimed fourth place in the Premier Division with an away Toolstation Northern Counties East League win – but the big news last night was that leaders Liversedge suffered a home defeat.

Sedge lost 2-1 at Clayborn to Curtis Woodhouse's Bridlington Town after a late flurry of goals.

The home side edged in front through Chris Jenkinson's own goal 15 minutes from time. But Brid hit back almost immediately as Jamie Forrester levelled and Joel Sutton netted the winner five minutes from time as Woodhouse enjoyed his fourth win in four games as manager.

Albion, under the NCE League's longest-serving boss Kulwinder Sandhu, travelled to Pickering Town and beat the in-form Pikes 4-2.

The win saw the Lions leapfrog their hosts as they made a statement after their home defeat to second-placed Cleethorpes Town at the weekend.

The visitors took an early lead when Omar Habeeb opened the scoring in the 12th minute after good work from Danny Facey. The provider then turned scorer midway through the first half but a Nathan Kamara strike ensured the Pikes were only one goal down at the break.

Asif Hussain restored Albion's two-goal lead with a well-placed free-kick and after Facey had hit a post late on, Rhys Jenkinson bundled the ball home.

The home side cut the deficit with a late penalty, substitute Alex Robinson netting from the spot, but the points were safe by then.
