FARSLEY Celtic and Brighouse Town will be hoping to take their league form into the FA Trophy when the competition gets underway with the preliminary round tomorrow.

The draw has been kind to the Celts – they have an eminently winnable tie against one of their league counterparts while Town face a difficult trip to a club in similar form.

Farsley are also on the road but the Evo-Stik Division One North side travel to 16th placed Radcliffe Borough.

Paul Quinn’s men are the only club above Farsley in their league. They head to Witton Albion’s Wincham Park to take on a side that is fourth in Division One South but has games in hand on the clubs above them.

There is a big game for Albion Sports as they host Cleethorpes Town in the top flight of the Toolstation Northern Counties East League.

A good game is in prospect as fourth hosts second, with Kulwinder Sandhu’s men knowing that a win would take them level on points with their visitors.

Thackley are immediately above Albion in the Premier Division table and they have a tough game at eighth-placed Athersley Recreation.

Chris Reape will have to lift his players after they missed out on a chance to go top in midweek when they were beaten 2-0 at home by Pickering Town.

Liversedge retained their place at the summit thanks to the Dennyboys’ slip and they will be aiming to consolidate their position as they host lower mid-table Garforth Town.

Eccleshill United and Campion have battled back to be on the fringes of the play-off places in Division One but they will both have to put in first class performances if they are to get anything tomorrow.

The Eagles host second-placed Knaresborough Town, while Campion travel to leaders Penistone Church.

Silsden travel to one of the newcomers in the North West Counties League as they make their first ever journey to Sandbach United.
