WITH all the talk about ticket prices and demonstrations from Liverpool and Manchester United fans, the Albion Sports supporters cannot complain about entertainment value.

The trouble is that manager Kulwinder Sandhu is being put through the wringer in every game as he is never sure which Albion will turn up.

A 3-1 away win was followed by a 3-1 home defeat, a 1-0 win against a relegation-threatened side and then a 4-2 defeat in the derby at Thackley, who are far lower down the table, before the narrow midweek win in the League Cup over Teversal.

It's enough to send Sandhu's blood pressure through the roof!

After they had beaten Teve 4-3 with a 79th-minute winner from Marcus Edwards, Sports official Peter Cusack said: “Albion are through to play Barton Town at home in the next round. It was not the prettiest game you will see but it was a good midweek away win with the players available.

“We had 16-year-old Kyle Trenery making his second start in the No 1 jersey because Jack Bentley and Mark Bower were both unavailable. We also had veteran player/coach Lee Elam and Lewis Morgan and Danny Cunningham back in the team.

“Jordan Hendrie, Alex Cusack, Matt Dalton and Mohamed Kaba were all missing as well as the two experienced keepers. All in all, on a bitterly cold midweek night after a long journey – we don’t think that is a bad result.

“It’s never boring coming to watch Albion.”
