ALBION Sports were dreaming of being involved in the FA Cup tomorrow after earning a draw in the north-eastern hotbed of football but a last- gasp winner by Ashington in the replay dumped them out.

That left Kulwinder Sandhu’s side concentrating on the league this weekend but their scheduled hosts Maltby Main are still in the cup, so Albion face a re-arranged game against Brigg Town.

Albion will be expecting a home win after confidence-boosting back-to-back league wins since their cup exit.

Brigg are rebuilding after dropping back into the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division but are currently rock bottom after losing all five opening games.

Liversedge are at home to Parkgate, the club immediately above Albion.

Sedge have had an uncertain start, winning just one of their four games in the league but are unbeaten. Their visitors, however, are looking to extend their 100 per cent start.

In Division One, Eccleshill United are looking for a victory by a two-goal margin that would take them above visitors Dronfield Town.

The Eagles have won one and lost one at home so far but their poor away record leaves them a lowly 17th.

Dronfield are 11th but Mark Greaves’ men would join them on points gained with a home victory.
