ALBION Sports will be concentrating on the league tomorrow after suffering a home defeat in an FA Cup replay in midweek.

Kulwinder Sandhu’s men were beaten at home by Ashington for the second season on the trot.

The north-east outfit won 2-1 at Throstle Nest in the preliminary round last year and edged another close contest 3-2 at the extra-preliminary round stage on Wednesday.

Albion’s focus will now be on securing their first home win in the league as they host Cleethorpes Town in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

The visitors have lost their only league game so far this term but will be hoping for a repeat of last season’s visit to the Nest when they won 1-0.

Rivals Thackley also have home advantage this weekend as they host a Retford United side still looking for their first point.

The Dennyboys have only three points from three matches. However, they will be looking forward to taking on Ashes winner Steve Harmison’s Ashington in the FA Cup next weekend after a 3-1 win at Durham City last week.

Liversedge will be looking to extend their unbeaten start when they travel to Athersley Recreation.

Sedge have won one and drawn two, while their hosts have won one and lost two, including a 5-0 thumping at home by title hopefuls Tadcaster Albion in midweek.

There should be goals in Eccleshill United’s clash with Yorkshire Amateur in Division One.

The Eagles have scored ten and conceded the same number in a hectic three-match start to the campaign, while their hosts have had a 1-0 home defeat.

Silsden will also be looking for a repeat of a result from last season when they travel to Alsager Town in the North West Counties League's top tier.

Alsager have had a poor start and have a minus-five goal difference after two games, while the Cobbydalers edged a seven-goal thriller there last term.
