THACKLEY are the only one of the four local representatives in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League to have home advantage on Saturday as they bid to secure three successive wins for the first time this campaign.

The Dennyboys are on a roll, and their last two victories have eased any lingering doubts about relegation from the Premier Division.

Thackley are up to a healthy 14th place but face a tough test against fifth-placed Staveley MW.

ALBION SPORTS are the highest of the area’s top-tier teams but they will be looking for a much-needed win after a postponement in midweek followed a lack-lustre display in a 1-1 home draw last weekend.

Tenth-placed Albion travel to Retford United, who are third from bottom with just 15 points from 25 games.

Albion’s midweek opponents should have been LIVERSEDGE, and their near-neighbours could do Kulwinder Sandhu’s men a good turn. Sedge are at Heanor Town, the club immediately above Albion.

ECCLESHILL UNITED face a mid-table battle in Division One at Selby Town. The Eagles are two places above their hosts and beat them 4-1 earlier in the season with Steve Rivera and Viktor Balis both scoring twice.
