LIVERSEDGE finally won their first home game of the season in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division last weekend but they will be hard pressed to follow that up with a second.

Tomorrow’s visitors to Clayborn are leaders Tadcaster Albion who are three points clear with a game in hand on second-placed Shaw Lane Aquaforce.

Tadcaster beat Liversedge 3-1 in the West Riding County Cup on Tuesday so Liversedge have a an early chance to gain revenge.

Liversedge’s Kieran Corley stunned the home side with a third-minute opener and it took them until the 75th minute to level the tie.

Albion Sports are the highest placed of the three local sides in the division and they will be looking for a win at Maltby Main to consolidate their position.

Kulwinder Sandhu’s Albion side are three points outside the top eight but they have games in hand on some of the clubs above them.

Thackley, who are at home to Parkgate, need a boost after last week’s 3-1 home reverse to Bridlington.

The Dennyboys have lost four of their last six league games and most of the teams around them in the table have matches in hand.

Eccleshill United also have a must win game, in Division One, as they look to get their push for promotion back on course.

The Eagles are third and they face the tough test away at second-placed Clipstone.

The gap between the clubs is five points and Clipstone, who trail leaders AFC Emley on goal difference only, have a game in hand on the Eagles.

SILSDEN will be looking for their first league win for over a month when they entertain promotion-chasing 1874 Northwich.

The Cobbydalers took just one point from four games in October which dropped them to 11th in the North West Counties Premier Division.
