Brighouse Town would keep their title aspirations intact and send out a statement of intent to their rivals with a home win tomorrow.

Town are sixth in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division with seven games in hand on the top two, and their visitors are second-placed Tadcaster Albion.

If Town were to convert their games in hand into maximum points they would be seven points clear at the summit.

Taddy have their own agenda as they trail Barton Town by just one point so a full-blooded encounter is in prospect at the Dual Seal Stadium.

Fourth-placed Thackley head to lowly Maltby Main looking for the win that would keep them ahead of neighbours Town, no matter what the outcome of their clash with Taddy.

The Dennyboys cannot reclaim third spot even with a win at Maltby but they can maintain the pressure on the top two and have played three fewer games.

Albion Sports sit between Thackley and Brighouse and they will also be seeking to continue their momentum when they travel to mid-table Garforth Town.

Albion were forced to sit out last weekend because there are an odd number of teams in the top tier.

All three of the local clubs in the top six will be hoping for a favour from lowly Liversedge as they journey to seventh-placed Retford United. Sedge could ensure Retford don’t make any ground on the clubs above them.

In Division One, Eccleshill United are in need of a boost to keep their hopes of promotion alive.

A draw and a postponement has stalled the Eagles’ push but they go into the weekend in fifth place, in a pack of four clubs that are separated by just two points, while the top two have pulled away.

Eccleshill’s visitors tomorrow are third-from-bottom Dinnington Town.
