Prospect brought down to earth

Bradford Sunday Alliance Division 2A champions Prospect were unable to sign the season off with a victory as they lost 4-3 to New Inn Wyke.

Black Swan finished the season on a high by hammering George & Dragon 6-0.

Steve Hollingworth scored five as Division 2B title-winners Mill Lane A brushed off Stocks Lane Rangers 9-2.

Unbeaten Lane have won all but one of their 21 games in the league and will be among the favourites to gain promotion again when they step up a level next season.

Woodlands beat Nabwood Juniors 5-1, with Nolan Huxham netting a hat-trick, while St Georges drew 2-2 with Wrose.

In Division 3A, Robin Hood Wyke finished top after drawing 2-2 with Mill Lane B, which prevented their opponents from replacing Ravenscliffe in second place.

Fourth-placed Bradford Lions hammered Bolton Woods 8-0, Queen Bradford were almost as emphatic as they beat George Hotel Reserves 5-1 and Thornton Reserves saw off Delius 4-2.

Idle disposed of Aire Athletic 5-1 to pip Wrose Albion to the Division 3B crown.

Veteran Ray Wadsworth, aged 53, scored for Stocks Lane United as they lost 3-2 to Sandy Lane.

In Division Four, Rancell failed to finish second as they drew 3-3 with TYCC. Undercliffe and Unity ended 2-2.
