Bradford All Stars, in their first season in the Telegraph & Argus League, suffered a big defeat in their first match but have carried all before them since.

They had a stern test against league leaders IMS Celtic and announced themselves as serious title contenders when they inflicted the first defeat of the season on last season's champions.

All Stars won 3-1 and Fairbank, another team in their first season in senior league football, have also had a good start.

They maintained their unbeaten start with a 3-0 victory over Ventnor Youth at Thornbury.

Dynamo All Stars are another club to have made an impressive beginning and are the leading goal-scorers in the league.

For the third match in five starts, they hit their opponents for eight goals.

The hosts moved into a three-goal lead in the first half but their opponents, All Nations XI, pulled two goals back before the interval.

A five-goal blitz in 15 minutes made the game safe for Dynamo and moved them up to third in the league.

Hat-tricks for Fidel Robinson and Djulidjf Kusakova and a brace from Patrick Nwinyi made up the tally for Dynamos.

Jamie Poole got his usual goal for Smiling Mule when they entertained Bradford Arms but a four-goal blast from the visitors gave them the three points and moved them up to second.

Sporting Athletic have not had a victory this season but came close when they entertained mid-table Ravenscliffe.

The visitors were leading 3-2 when, in the last two minutes, Athletic thought they had secured their first point but the referee disallowed what would have been an equaliser. Goalkeeper Stuart Green was outstanding for Athletic.
