Leeds aim to get the job done early

Leeds United have prepared like a Premiership club for tomorrow's vital League One visit to Yeovil where victory would guarantee a place in the play-offs with one game still to play.

The team and management were due to fly to the West Country today to avoid a tiring journey on the road and manager Gary McAllister knows how important it is to maintain the momentum after last week's 2-0 win at Millwall.

He said: "There has been a lot of hard work put in and it would be a shame to let it go to waste, so we will be fully focussed at Yeovil.

"We are approaching the game in the right manner like a Premier Division club and we hope that pays off. We know it is going to take a good performance to win at Yeovil.

"Leeds are coming to town so I expect the same fervour from Yeovil that we have faced from so many teams."

McAllister faces a selection dilemma in midfield with skipper Jonathan Douglas available after a one-match ban.

In his absence, David Prutton came into central midfield against Millwall and scored.

Midfielder Alan Thompson returned to training this week but is not yet ready for selection.

McAllister says he will take no risks with leading scorer Jermaine Beckford, who has missed the last two games with a sore ankle. Beckford has been receiving treatment all week and a decision will be left as late as possible, but the striker will only play if he is 100 per cent fit.
