NEW Dutch forward Jay-Roy Grot could make his debut at Nottingham Forest on Saturday after signing for Leeds from NEC Nijmegen for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old has penned a four-year deal, having represented the Netherlands at under-17 and under-19 level.
The 6ft 4in centre forward, who can also operate as a winger, featured 24 times in all competitions for Dutch top-flight club NEC last season, netting six goals.
Grot said: “I am very happy, this is such a big club and this is a big step in my career. I am delighted to have signed for Leeds United.
“It was been my dream to play in England and so to do that at a club like Leeds is really exciting.”
Grot becomes the club's 13th signing of the summer and will wear the number 11 shirt.
Leeds striker Mallik Wilks has joined Accrington Stanley on loan until January after signing a new 12-month extension to his current contract at Elland Road.
Meanwhile, Leeds have been drawn away to Burnley in the third round of the Carabao Cup following their 5-1 win over Newport.
