PLAY-OFF chasing Leeds United could be set to lose defender Pontuss Jansson to a Premier League club over the summer.

The centre half, who came to Elland Road on loan from Torino last summer, is due to join United permanently at the end of the season in a £3.5million deal.

But Southampton, whose own Virgil Van Dijk could be on the way to a top-flight big club, are said to be keen on the Swedish international, who has been a revelation for United this campaign.

It seems that, despite United's deal with the defender, that Claude Puel's club are prepared to pay over £10million to bring Jansson to St Mary's.

Former Malmo defender Jansson would be hard-pushed to turn down a move to the Premier League but doubtless hopes that he and head coach Garry Monk can help United to the Premier league themselves via the play-offs.

Monk hopes to have Ronaldo Vieira back in the mix to face Wolves at Elland Road today.

Vieira dropped to the bench at Newcastle United on Good Friday after falling ill on the day of the game but could replace Liam Bridcutt or Kalvin Phillips.

Charlie Taylor came off the bench against the Magpies to pep up United's attack on the left-hand side and may start in place of Gaetano Berardi if a more attacking outlook is desired.

Liam Cooper will once again be missing for Leeds as he serves the fourth game of his six-match suspension, while Marco Silvestri and Tyler Denton remain sidelined through injury.

The 1-1 draw at Newcastle moved fifth-placed United on to 73 points, with Sheffield Wednesday a point further back in sixth and Fulham three adrift in seventh.

Wolves could once again be without Helder Costa, who missed the defeat against Brighton on Friday with an ankle injury. Andy Lonergan is again expected to feature in goal as Carl Ikeme is out with a hamstring injury.
