LEEDS head coach Steve Evans remains in the dark as to where his future will be – but says he will not be chasing owner Massimo Cellino for a contract.

United drew 2-2 with Hull City at the KC Stadium on Saturday, with Stuart Dallas grabbing their late equaliser in that Sky Bet Championship clash.

Tigers Abel Hernandez and Tom Huddlestone scored in first-half injury time to cancel out Chris Wood's opener for the visitors.

Wood then missed a penalty before Dallas' leveller, which stretched Leeds' unbeaten run to four games and added weight to Evans' bid to earn a new deal.

"I am ready and waiting to speak to the president when he is ready but I have a couple of Saturdays to go and whether I am staying or not I want to go out with six points," he said.

"We agreed many months ago that we would have the conversation when he was ready; he is well aware there is (other) interest in me. But when you shake hands as two men and say you'll focus on the football, I am all right with that.

"Every time we win a match it gives me a better chance of staying – or (finding) another employer.

"I am fortunate I don't sit here wondering how I will pay my bills and I genuinely want the opportunity to deliver a promotion for Leeds United."

Evans did add that he would be disappointed to be let go by Cellino, who last week told the media the Scot "talks too much".

"I don't think annoyance will come into it," he said. "Shedding tears would, disappointment would. This is a special club and I love being a part of it. You are very lucky to be associated with it.

"I won't have to chase the president – we have a good relationship, we have a difference of opinion which is normal. I have made it clear I want to be here but I won't stay not wanted. You have to be wanted."
