LEEDS can win three games in a row for the first time in a year if they beat Blackburn tomorrow.

Steve Evans admitted it was "unacceptable" that his team should go that long without a winning streak.

But the mood has been lifted for the lunchtime trip to Ewood Park, with striker Chris Wood among three players returning to the travelling squad.

Liam Cooper and Lewis Coyle are also available but it is Wood's presence, after being absent since January, that will provide the major boost.

"Any coach will tell you that you need your big-game players," said Evans, who is targeting a top-ten finish from a challenging Championship campaign.

"We've always been a tight unit. We bleed together. We want Leeds supporters to come back from Blackburn feeling like they did at Cardiff. The group have shown great 'bounce-back-ability'.

"There were four changes at Cardiff and there may be a similar number of changes again. I have to make sure the team is fresh."

Evans revealed that youngster Eoghan Stokes could feature soon after missing out because of a recent injury.

The United head coach said: "We still have points to earn – but when we're mathematically safe, then we may give people a chance to show what they can do."

Evans believes Blackburn have improved since the arrival of Paul Lambert as manager, insisting they were "much more of an attacking threat and harder to deal with."
