Leeds boss Uwe Rosler joked his side will "have to live like monks" ahead of their next away outing following their goalless draw at Reading.

The Yorkshire side picked up their second point of the season following a dour goalless draw at the Madejski Stadium, where chances were few and far between.

There is no sign of any let up for Leeds, though, as they travel to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City on Wednesday - and Rosler admitted they must recover from today's efforts quickly.

"We move on now and it is vital how we recover," he said.

"We'll have to live like monks. No alcohol, no sex. Actually, I'm joking. But recovery for us is vital as we will again be going back and forward on the motorway to Bristol."

Leeds opened their Sky Bet Championship campaign with a 1-1 draw against Burnley last weekend but were knocked out of the Capital One Cup by Doncaster on penalties in midweek.

Rosler acknowledged there was little to choose between his side and Reading and was happy to collect a point.

"We came here with a game plan and there was nothing between the teams," he said.

"We had the better chances than them but it's a vital point in the terms of the next building block for us. The group of players dug very deep.

"First half today, our shape was excellent and we had some good chances. But in the second half, both teams looked tired. But were never really in trouble."

Reading manager Steve Clarke backed striker Orlando Sa to break his scoring duck soon.

Sa has yet to register a goal in three matches since his arrival on a £1million transfer from Legia Warsaw over the summer, drawing his latest blank on Sunday afternoon.

But Clarke felt the Portuguese, who has one cap for his country, produced an otherwise fine performance and is confident the goals will come.

"He was good today," Clarke said. "His hold-up play was good. He was a threat for their two central defenders. He occupied them both very well.

"I was pleased with his performance and the goals will come for him. I know that because he's a goalscorer."

After losing to Birmingham on the opening day of the season, Clarke was relieved the Royals were able to get their first point of the season.

He said: "It was two well-organised teams, neither of whom wanted to give anything away.

"It was important for us to get our first point on the board and another clean sheet is also a positive."
