DEFENDER Guiseppe Bellusci will ignore claims of racial abuse as Leeds try to make it sixth time lucky for Darko Milanic against Wolves on Saturday.

Milanic is still looking for his first win in charge but was heartened by Tuesday’s draw at Norwich.

That game was overshadowed by Cameron Jerome’s accusation against Bellusci afterwards but the Italian will keep his place.

Milanic, who has declined to comment on the allegations, believes Leeds are getting closer to that elusive first three points.

He said: “I cannot be happy that in this time I have no win with my team. But if you look at it another way, we are playing well.

“We were maybe not good in my first game but since then we have made steps forward. I think the team is alive.”

Bellusci, a summer signing from Catania, has received the full backing of Leeds president Massimo Cellino, who said his fellow countryman is not a racist and insists he did not make racial comments.

"I'll write to them (the FA) to clarify my position on Bellusci and racism," said Cellino. "If any Leeds player was shown to be a racist, he'd be out. That's my philosophy and my promise."

Fourth-placed Wolves will be without injured danger man Bakary Sako but striker Nouha Dicko is eyeing a second away win.

Wolves have drawn four of their six games on the road with just one victory so far at Fulham. Last week they blew a three-goal lead against Millwall to draw.

Dicko said: “We haven’t had many away wins but we haven’t lost many either.

“At the moment we all know we could be higher in the league. We need to believe we can do it and playing with confidence will help us.

“Hopefully we can go to Leeds, a good team and a good stadium, and get a win.”
