Leeds must do without Connor Wickham and Lee Peltier at Bournemouth tomorrow night.

Striker was recalled by Sunderland, while defender Peltier has been loaned to Nottingham Forest for the rest of the season.

The Black Cats have a shortage up front for their trip to Liverpool on Wednesday, with Fabio Borini unable to face his parent club, so they activated the instant recall clause in 20-year-old’s Wickham’s loan at Elland Road.

Wickham, who made five Leeds appearances without scoring, had rejected a number of Sky Bet Championship clubs to join the Whites on loan until the end of the season.

Peltier, largely a right back, is expected to go straight into Forest’s squad against Charlton at the City Ground tomorrow night.

The 27-year-old has made 27 appearances this season for Leeds but has recently found first-team opportunities limited.

"We had an offer for Lee to go to Forest on loan," said Leeds manager Brian McDermott.

"He felt he wanted to go because he isn't in the team at this moment in time, and we've agreed to let him go."

After ending a run of six games without a win, McDermott is keen to build on Saturday’s 2-1 home win over Millwall.

He said: “There are an awful lot of young players in this team that will benefit from the season that we have had and everything that has gone with it.”
