Guiseley
Kittrick's men sweating on play-offs
With just one round of fixtures remaining in the UniBond Premier Division, Guiseley need a win and other results to go in their favour if they are to book a place in the promotion play-offs.
The title is a two-horse race between Fleetwood Town and Witton Albion, while Gateshead and Buxton are guaranteed play-off places, which leaves Guiseley scrapping it out with Eastwood Town for fifth place.
Guiseley need to beat Kendal Town at Nethermoor on Saturday to give themselves a chance and the Cumbrians are in mid-table with nothing to play for, although they will be well supported.
They are sponsored by a travel company that has, above and beyond their agreement, provided free travel to Kendal fans for this final game.
The nerves and tension will be gripping Eastwood as much as Guiseley, who are in good spirits after a great 2-1 win at Worksop Town last time out. Eastwood are currently fifth but have to travel to Leek Town, who need a win to ensure they stay up.
The division has been so tight this season that Leek are seventh from bottom but only one point clear of the three relegation places. Anything could happen in the 90 minutes that will ultimately decide all the issues.
Leading scorer James Hanson was carried off just before half-time at Worksop and returned to Bradford limping badly but Guiseley boss Steve Kittrick has not ruled him out just yet.
Should Hanson not make it then Gavin Knight will get another chance. He replaced Hanson from the bench at Worksop and scored the winning goal.
