Guiseley 2, Burscough 1
Guiseley kept their automatic promotion hopes very much alive with a narrow victory at Nethermoor.
The visitors had a troublesome journey from their east Lancashire home but the delayed start did not affect the home side.
A first-half double from Jamie Walshaw put the Lions firmly in the driving seat.
Walshaw netted from close range in the 18th minute and scored with another left-foot shot six minutes before the break.
Guiseley were less of a force in the second period but there was little chance of Burscough sharing the spoils, even after Marc Dermott reduced the arrears just before the hour.
