IT is a case of one in and one out at Guiseley AFC.

The National League side have signed central defender Elliot Green from Canadian side Whitecaps FC – a team from the third tier of the United Soccer League.

The move is subject to international clearance following which Green could be in the squad to visit Chorley in the FA Trophy on Saturday.

At the same time winger Jermaine Hylton has returned to Swindon Town following his loan spell with the club which saw him make four starts, one substitute appearance and score one goal.

Hylton made an impressive start with a scintillating display in the 6-1 win over York. A hamstring injury picked up in the 3-0 defeat at Forest Green Rovers halted his progress at the club.

Green, 23, arrives following the injury to centre-back Rob Atkinson in last Saturday's game against Chester.

Green moved to Vancouver in February after playing with three clubs in the Swedish football Division 2 Norrland.

In 2015 he made five starts with Gällivare Malmbergets FF before moving to Sollefteå GIF FF and making eight starts.

In his first season in Sweden in 2014, Green started all ten of his appearances with Ånge IF.

The 6ft 3ins tall centre-back started out with Guiseley's league rivals Lincoln City.

The native of Lincoln also spent time on loan with Grantham Town, Sheffield FC and Eastwood Town whilst on the Imps books.

Prior to joining Lincoln, Green spent time in the Stoke City academy.
