Guiseley 2 Tranmere Rovers 2
Guiseley earned an excellent point from an entertaining 2-2 home draw against Tranmere Rovers in the National League, tonight.
The Lions twice went a goal down but hit straight back on each occasion as James Hurst bagged a brace.
The promotion-chasing visitors snatched a 34th minute lead when a low cross into the area appeared to be hooked into his own net by Guiseley centre back Rob Atkinson as he attempted to clear.
A neat volley from Hurst at the back post to convert a Danny Lowe header levelled the scores two minutes later.
Hurst’s second, a rocket of a shot, cancelled out Tranmere’s second just a minute after Jake Kirby had put the visitors back in front.
