MARK Bower says Guiseley are taking this Saturday’s FA Trophy trip to Dulwich Hamlet “very seriously” as he declared: “We want to go all the way.”

The Lions boss is hugely respectful of the competition and is expecting a stern test in the capital against a Dulwich side who currently top the Ryman Premier Division.

They saw off promotion rivals Enfield Town 2-0 at home last Saturday in front of a season-best crowd of 2,249 and Bower will not take the Londoners lightly.

He said: “We’re taking this weekend’s game very seriously because we want to go as far as we can in the FA Trophy.

“North Ferriby won the competition last season and from our point of view it’s an opportunity to go all the way to the final.

“The league is obviously the priority but we’ll head to Dulwich this weekend looking to get into the next round."

Hamlet currently sit top of the Ryman Premier Division and are unbeaten in six games.

Several famous names can be found among Dulwich’s past players, including Ian Wright, Alan Pardew and Peter Crouch. However, they also boast some dangerous talents in their current crop that could hurt Guiseley.

Leading the scoring charts with 13 strikes is Ashley Carew. A central midfielder with an eye for goal who has also supplied 14 assists this season. His former clubs include Gillingham and Barnet – where he received a call-up to the Barbados squad before withdrawing injured.

Damian Scannell’s surname may look familiar. The attacking midfielder is the brother of Huddersfield’s Sean Scannell. He poses a threat to the Lions defence, creating nine goals and scoring seven himself.

Nyren Clunis is one to look out for on the wing with his searing pace. The Dulwich youth system product has played more than 180 games for the club and was the team’s top scorer in 2010-11.

In defence, Hamlet can rely on the experience of Osei Sankofa, who began his career at Charlton and played against the likes of Robin van Persie, as well as representing England between the ages of 16 and 20.

Alongside Sankofa, Ethan Pinnock is an all-round talent. The 20-year-old, who can play in defence and midfield, has managed to net five times from the back this season, collecting five man of the match awards along the way.
