FARSLEY Celtic host Bradford Park Avenue tomorrow on a day of derbies for local semi-professional clubs.

Guiseley are at Brighouse Town in another local skirmish, while Silsden host Liversedge.

Thackley, Albion Sports and FC Halifax Town are also in action – and with Eccleshill United playing tonight, all ten of the area's non-League outfits have games this weekend as they step up preparations for the coming season.

Avenue's pre-season picks up pace at Throstle Nest. They have already played two games but both against opposition lower down the pyramid than Farsley.

Martin Drury's men have scored nine goals and are yet to concede but the Celts will give them a tougher test, with Neil Parsley's men having warmed up against Bradford City.

The Bantams were 3-0 winners at Throstle Nest last Saturday, with former Guiseley striker James Hanson bagging a brace and trialist Sanchez Watt also on target as the Celts gave game time to all of their available players in their opener.

Guiseley's first two friendlies were both at home against strong Football League opposition. Championship outfit Huddersfield Town won 3-1 but City's League One rivals Barnsley were held to a goalless draw on Tuesday.

Lions boss Mark Bower is looking to get his main players more match sharpness, so will not be making as many changes either today at the Dual Seal Stadium or in the coming games.

Brighouse Town's first two run-outs were diverse as a 7-1 romp against Eccleshill United was followed by a 5-0 thumping by the Shaymen on Tuesday.

Silsden opened their pre-season campaign at home against a young Fleetwood Town side last Monday.

The Cobbydalers were beaten 7-3 but the players got what they needed and the spectators certainly had their money's worth.

Tomorrow they host Sedge, who have been positive in their first two games. They beat Silsden's league rivals Maine Road 4-1 and Howden Clough 3-0.

Halifax travel to former Football League rivals Stockport County, Thackley are at Oxenhope and Albion Sports travel to Yorkshire Amateurs.

Eccleshill are at Huddersfield-based Golcar tonight.
