GUISELEY have rediscovered their form and climbed back up to fourth in Vanarama Conference North but they face another tough test tomorrow with a trip to Hednesford Town.

Hednesford have already beaten the Lions’ rivals Harrogate Town at home and would love to stall the progress of Mark Bower’s side, who have taken four points from the last six available following a blip of back-to-back defeats.

Bower said: “It is always a very difficult place to go, and they were one of the pre-season favourites for promotion.

“They have got a lot of quality players and Jamey Osborne has attracted a lot of interest from clubs in our division, the Conference Premier and higher up. We know what we are up against but if we go there and show the same desire and qualities that we have in the last two games, we can win.”

Osborne scored the only goal of the game when Hednesford beat Hyde in midweek but Guiseley also put in a good performance, despite being held to a 1-1 home draw by Colwyn Bay.

Bower said: “We had no fresh injuries in midweek but there were some tired legs because three of the players were making just their second appearance of the season in the space of three days.

“It is good to have Ryan Toulson and Danny Lowe back from injury and Josh Wilson on loan but the three of them have not played a lot of football recently.

"We also had Gav Rothery back from suspension and Steve Drench back in the squad so we are in a much stronger position than when we lost those two games on the trot.”
