In-form Farsley out to end Clitheroe record
5:00pm Thursday 11th October 2012 in Farsley By Ian Whiting
Farsley have the opportunity to underline their promotion qualities at Throstle Nest on Saturday when two of the top three in the Evo-Stik Division One North go head to head.
Third-placed Farsley have the home comforts but visitors Clitheroe boast an unbeaten record this season as the roses rivals clash. The Lancastrians are second in the table but will be looking for the three-point maximum that could take them top.
Clitheroe are above Farsley, despite having played one game less, and are only two points off the summit. Mossley are currently top but, like Neil Parsley’s side, they have played one game more than Clitheroe.
Farsley’s mission is a tough one, especially as their Lancashire visitors have only played two of their eight games so far this term away from home and have won them both.
But the hosts could not be in better form themselves. They are on a run of four straight league victories, three of which came with clean sheets.
Over their successive victories, Farsley have scored 13, while conceding just once.
