Farsley head into play-offs on a high

Farsley finished the Evo-Stik Division One North season in fourth place following a 2-1 win over neighbours Ossett Town.

Gareth Grant raced onto a through ball to open the scoring midway through the first half and a Simeon Bambrook header doubled the home side’s lead just before the break.

Ossett fought back after the interval and Shane Kelsey scored an early goal and later came close to netting a leveller.

The victory means Farsley will travel to Witton Albion in the play-off semi-finals on Tuesday night.
