Farsley Celtic boss Neil Parsley admits he is “fed up” as his side remain on tenterhooks regarding the club’s future.

The Celts are due to host Workington in the Blue Square North on Saturday but the fixture is in doubt in light of the off-field battle to avoid closure.

Tuesday’s match at Telford was called off when administrators Mazars failed to agree a deal with the John Palmer-led consortium.

That saw the club charged by the Football Conference for being unable to fulfil their fixture.

The Celts were given seven days to respond to the charge but the immediate priority remains securing an agreement with the administrators to keep the club alive.

Celts boss Parsley said: “We are due in to training today as normal but we know everything is still in the air. It is a difficult situation that is bound to filter through the ranks.

“We have done our bit on the pitch and that is as much as we can do.

“Tuesday was a huge disappointment and to be honest I’m totally fed up with the whole scenario.

“We have battled through the campaign so far to try and ensure we stay in this division despite the ten point deduction.

“It would be a pity for a lot of people if the club has come this far only to be forced out of business.”

“I’m like anyone else really, waiting for the phone to ring, picking up the newspapers and checking the websites to see if there have been any more developments.

“All we can do is let the people get on with doing their dealings now and hope for the right outcome.”
