Farsley Celtic boss Neil Parsley is set to field a strong side in tomorrow night’s West Riding County Cup quarter-final at Garforth Town.
The competition is often a chance to blood youngsters but Parsley needs to give game-time to his senior players after the enforced lay-off due to bad weather.
He said: “There will be a few changes but because of the excessively bad winter and all the postponements, most of the first-team players need more playing time.
“We will have a strong starting 11 but a very young bench.”
Parsley – whose side won 2-1 at Solihull Moors on Saturday – still gave a hint he hoped to give fringe players a chance at their UniBond Division One North hosts.
He said: “We have some good players who deserve to be given their chance but, because of circumstances, we haven’t been able to do that. There may be time to look at them more closely tomorrow night.”
Liversedge will be underdogs as they make the journey to take on UniBond opposition in Wakefield.
Sedge will be looking to bounce back from defeat in the NCEL Premier Division derby at home to Thackley at the weekend.
Guiseley have been named UniBond Premier club of the month for January ahead of their rescheduled FA Trophy third-round tie against Tamworth tomorrow night.
The Lions were given the accolade after two league victories and an earlier Trophy success against Blue Square North outfit Blyth Spartans.
Guiseley were hoping for warmer temperatures after Saturday’s tie against the Blue Square Premier outfit was postponed due to a frozen pitch, despite the Nethermoor surface being covered.
That call-off meant their West Riding County Cup quarter-final, due to be played at Bradford Park Avenue tonight, has to be rearranged.
Eccleshill United hope to be in action as new boss Mark Senior bids for a second home victory on the trot when Grimsby Borough visit in the Northern Counties East League Division One.
Thackley have arranged a friendly at home to UniBond outfit Ossett Town.
