BIG games are coming thick and fast for Farsley Celtic and their proud manager Adam Lakeland.

The Celts' tough schedule caught up with them on Saturday when second-placed Warrington Town won 2-0 at Throstle Nest in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division.

Next up is the West Riding County Cup final against Selby Town tonight at county HQ in Woodlesford, followed by a league match at Barwell Town on Saturday.

Lakeland said after defeat against the Yellows, which was their fifth match in a short space of time: "I have nothing but admiration for my players and their efforts over the past ten days.

"Saturday's result was disappointing, but there certainly wasn't a lack of effort and we are still in an excellent position.

"Had we known in advance that, with so many games in a short space of time against some good teams, that we would come out of it with 10 points, everyone would have snapped your arm off, so I am delighted for the players and slightly disappointed that there was some criticism of them from the terraces against Warrington.

"I think one or two on the other side of the fence need to pinch themselves and remember how well these lads have done and acknowledge how much they have given."
