FARSLEY Celtic have home advantage in tonight’s second-round Evo-Stik League Cup tie as they face Division One North counterparts Goole AFC.

The Celts will be huge favourites as the clubs go into their Integro Cup clash in vastly different form and at opposite ends of the league table.

The Celts’ 3-2 home win over Brighouse Town at the weekend kept them in fourth spot, while Goole remained second from bottom after suffering their 17th league defeat this term.

Goole lost 3-0 at Tadcaster Albion and the odds against them keeping a clean sheet tonight are high as only two clubs in the division have scored more than Farsley, while only basement outfit Burscough have conceded more than Goole.

The Celts’ joint manager Neil Parsley insists that promotion is his club’s main aim but he has injury concerns so cannot rotate his squad.

There may be an enforced change as Paul Walker was forced off through injury early in the second half of Saturday’s win against Paul Quinn’s side.

Farsley have done well in cup competitions this term but that has come at cost as they have a backlog of league fixtures.

Tonight’s hosting of Goole in the second round is on a night when there are three third round ties.
