FARSLEY Celtic skipper Paddy Miller is delighted to be back in the team and making a positive contribution as they continue their solid start to the season.

Miller missed a few games through injury but has fought his way back to full fitness and is back in the centre of defence, with the captain’s armband proudly adorning his bicep.

“I really don’t like being out of the team and its frustrating when you’re injured, but fortunately the boys did well when I was missing,” said Miller.

“It isn’t so bad when you’re on the sidelines if the team is winning – it doesn’t feel like you’re letting everyone down.

"The run we’d been on early in the season continued and it was great to be around the club.”

There was a blip that followed as Farsley suffered back-to-back defeats in Evo-Stik Division One North, meaning that they dropped from second to ninth.

They bounced back last Saturday with a 3-0 away win in the league and they hope to continue their progress in the FA Trophy today.

Miller added: “It was good to get another three points last week and we’re looking forward to the Trophy tie at Mossley – it’s a winnable one but it will be difficult.

“I know a few of the lads who play for them and they are a good side.

"We’re looking to win and keep the run going after our run in the FA Cup ended but the league is the priority this season.

“The challenge is there for us and we’ll be looking to keep it up.

"I think we have the quality to push for promotion, and looking at the teams we’ve played so far, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to match them.”
