FA CUP action takes centre stage again for the non-league clubs tomorrow as Farsley Celtic and Brighouse Town enter the The Emirates-backed competition at the preliminary-round stage.

The clubs will be flying the flag for the area after the local sides on the lower tiers of the pyramid were all knocked out in the extra-preliminary round.

The Celts travel to Hallmark Security League Premier Division outfit Congleton Town, who beat league rivals New Mills to reach this stage.

Farsley go into the tie with confidence brimming after winning their first two games in Evo-Stik Division One North which put them top of the table. The Celts are yet to concede a goal.

Town have been drawn against league rivals Glossop North End, and the Cheshire outfit have a slightly better points return than Paul Quinn’s men from their first two league games.

Town have won one and lost one in Division One North, while Glossop have banked four points.

It is league action for the rest of the clubs, and Albion Sports will be hoping to maintain their winning start to the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

Sports travel to Barton Town, who have yet to earn a point but have played just one game.

Liversedge will be aiming to ensure that the poor start Staveley MW have made continues.

Sedge have enjoyed their first win, while tomorrow’s hosts have lost both their opening fixtures.

Out of the three local clubs in the top tier, only Thackley have a home game, and their visitors are Retford United.

Campion, who still top Division One, are at Grimsby Borough.

Second-placed Eccleshill United host newcomers Ollerton Town.

Silsden will also be breaking new ground as they travel to Prestwich Heys in Hallmark Security League Division One.

The Cobbydalers were relegated from the Premier Division last term, while their hosts were promoted into the lower tier from the Manchester League.
