FORMER Bantams left back Luke O’Brien has become Farsley Celtic’s third summer signing after putting pen to paper at Throstle Nest.
O’Brien joins former Bradford Park Avenue team-mates Richard Marshall and James Walshaw as Celts boss Neil Parsley strengthens his squad for a promotion push.
The capture of O’Brien signals Farsley’s intentions for the coming campaign.
He began his career with Bradford City but also has Football League experience with Exeter City and Oxford United. O’Brien turned his back on the game for a while but made a comeback with Thackley in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division.
He got his appetite for football back while at Dennyfield and moved from there into Vanarama National League North with Avenue before being tempted away by ambitious Shaw Lane Aquaforce in Evo-Stik Division One South.
O’Brien signs from the Barnsley-based outfit claiming that he is looking for a new challenge and that he hopes to help Farsley Celtic climb back up the non-league ladder.
