FARSLEY Celtic earned a 1-1 draw from their trip to bogey club Kendal Town to keep their hopes of making the play-offs in Evo-Stik Division One North alive.
Neil Parsley’s side took the lead midway through the first half when Lewis Nightingale, who turned down a move away from Farsley during the week, converted a Jordan Deacey cross at the back post.
It was an open and entertaining encounter with chances at both ends throughout – Deacey, Aiden Savory and Nightingale on the end of the best ones for the visitors.
Kendal substitute Leon Gierke levelled with a little less than 20 minutes remaining when he latched onto a through ball before drilling a shot into the bottom corner.
Last night’s other games all fell by the wayside after the return of the wet weather left pitches waterlogged.
Liversedge’s long wait for a home game goes on. It was 122 days yesterday when they should have hosted Retford United in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division.
Thackley were denied a game at Barton Town in the same division, while Silsden also missed out at home as Bootle were due to visit them in the North West Counties Premier.
