FARSLEY CELTIC'S astonishing run of straight victories continued as their 12th win on the trot lifted them to seventh place in Division One North of the Evo-Stik League and dented Northwich Victoria's title tilt.

Lewis Nightingale claimed a hat-trick as the Celts put second-placed hosts Northwich to the sword in the second half after Chris Howarth had opened the scoring in the first minute after the interval with a back-post header.

Nightingale added two goals and then created one as his hard work led to Lewis Sugden lashing a fine strike into the top corner.

Nightingale made the final score 5-0 as he completed his treble from the penalty spot after a foul on substitute Josh Grant, all of which made it a nightmare debut for new Vics keeper Lewis King.

Celts boss Neil Parsley said: "It was a fantastic win, all things considered. It wasn't the best day and there was a strong wind blowing about but I thought we managed the game well.

"After playing against the conditions in the first half, during which we created the best chance, we got in front early in the second half and really cut them open in the rest of the game.

"I felt that we created chances at will in that second half and I was pleased that we took most of them.

"There was a hat-trick for Lewis and that's the icing on the cake for him and a deserved individual accolade

"But it was all about the team and our supporters. We had a good number of them following us and it was great to send them back home happy."

It was also a good day for BRIGHOUSE TOWN as they got back to winning ways with a 1-0 home success over struggling Radcliffe Borough.

In another game played in difficult conditions, a strike from Danny Facey in the 77th minute was enough to bank all three points.
