FARSLEY Celtic head to the Butchers Arms on Saturday looking for a tenth straight victory to keep their remarkable run going.

Standing in their way will be Droylsden, who are picking up themselves and go into the Evo-Stik Division One North clash unbeaten since the end of November.

The Bloods drew at Trafford in their last outing, which was the only game they have played since the turn of the year, and were unbeaten in December.

Neil Parsley’s Celts have been on a much more impressive run and are four places higher up the table with a six-point cushion, and have a game in hand on their hosts.

In their last three wins, all in the league, Farsley have scored 11 goals and conceded none.

The three clean sheets have particularly pleased manager Parsley, who said: “We are battling hard at both ends of the pitch, and the players have not neglected their duty for one minute.

“The defence has been solid, and even in the last few minutes of last Saturday’s game when we were four goals up, Paddy Miller, Adam Clayton and Aaron Hardy were throwing their bodies on the line.

"The lads are high on confidence and the next game cannot come quickly enough for them.”

While Farsley were thumping New Mills 4-0 last week, Droylsden should have been at Brighouse Town but that game was postponed.

This week sees Paul Quinn’s Town, who are only four points outside the play-off places, heading to Clitheroe.

The Lancashire outfit are two places above ninth-placed Town but are only one point better off and have played one game more.
