FARSLEY Celtic are itching to get back onto the pitch after suffering back to back postponements which have stalled their climb up the Evo-Stik Division One North table.

The Celts were on a run of five straight victories in all competitions and they will be hoping their good form continues when they visit Ossett Town on Saturday.

Their last outing saw them trounce Division One South outfit Stocksbridge Park Steels 6-0 in a League Cup tie at Throstle Nest on December 1.

With players rested and slight injury problems clearing up the only worry for Parsley is that his squad may be suffering a little ring rust.

Farsley, who are 17th and pulling away from the lower reaches of the table after a poor start, will have one eye on nearest neighbours Brighouse Town’s result as Paul Quinn’s men host Witton Albion, the club immediately below the Celts.

Town are still four points outside the play-off places and a home win would put them right back in the promotion race as they have games in hand on some of the seven clubs currently above them.

With Witton’s loss column already into double figures Brighouse will be favourites as they look to build on their most recent result, a 2-1 away win at promotion rivals Mossley.
