FARSLEY Celtic will be looking to continue their excellent form when they make the short trip across the Pennines to face Radcliffe Borough.

Neil Parsley’s Celts made it five wins on the spin in midweek when they progressed in the League Cup with a 6-0 home win over Stocksbridge Park Steels.

They are back in league action at struggling Boro tomorrow but it will be another big test for Farsley.

When they were challenging for promotion last term, their Achilles heel was their failure to get results when playing teams at the lower end of the table.

This season they have not had the rub of the green against any opponents, but they have been putting in good performances.

Parsley said: “I’m just pleased that the players are getting the rewards for their performances now and, even though confidence has never been lacking, we have momentum now.

“I’ve said all along that I felt the brand of football we’re playing is compatible with winning matches, and we can be challenging.

"I think Lee Connor is a lucky omen as we’ve won every game since he came in.

"He has come in with his own ideas, the players are taking things on board and it always helps having a fresh voice in the dressing room.”

Boro, who were thwarted by last week’s half-time abandonment at Brighouse Town, are third from bottom.

Brighouse had been pegged back to 1-1 by Boro when the referee called a halt to proceedings.

Paul Quinn’s men face a tough trip at Mossley, looking for the win that would see them leapfrog their hosts.

Town are only five points outside the play-off places and have games in hand on three of the clubs in the top five, but they have not been in the best of form and are currently tenth.
