FARSLEY Celtic will be looking to build on their recent run when they host Tom Baker’s Trafford in Evo-Stik Division One North tomorrow.

The Celts have won their last two league games, scoring eight and conceding three, and triumphed over high-flying Division One South outfit Shaw Lane Aquaforce in the League Cup before that.

The three victories have Neil Parsley men believing that they have turned the tide after a frustrating start to the campaign.

The Celts are only three points above the relegation zone but are the only club in the bottom eight with a plus goal difference.

Tomorrow’s visitors, managed by former Bradford Park Avenue and FC Halifax Town midfielder Baker, are in a healthy eighth but are only 12 points better off than Farsley and have played four games more.

Parsley said: “Last week was our first league win this season and we’ll look to build on that with another home win.

"Three wins on the spin is a nice run and a base for us.

“It’s strange how it can all turn around – another two or three wins and the whole thing has a different complexion on it.”

Trafford lost last time out but prior to that had beaten Mossley and dumped local rivals Salford City out of the League Cup.

They also took a point at Brighouse Town this month and are on the same points as Paul Quinn’s side.

Town will be looking for a favour from Farsley and to return to wining ways themselves as they host struggling Radcliffe Borough.

Three draws and a 1-0 defeat at leaders Northwich Victoria have seen Brighouse drop out of the play-off places.

Boro are immediately above the trapdoor and just two points better off than Harrogate Railway Athletic, who are just inside the drop zone. However, the table is so tight that if Boro get a shock win at the Dual Seal Stadium and Farsley lose then they would be above Parsley’s men again.
