Farsley Celtic will be hoping history repeats itself when they travel to Kendal Town in the Evo-Stik Division One North tomorrow.

The Celts have had a troubled opening three months of the season and are currently outside the relegation places on goal difference only after 15 games. Kendal is not usually a happy hunting ground for Neil Parsley’s men but they won 3-0 there last term.

Both sides will be looking to bounce back after being knocked out of the FA Trophy last weekend. Kendal may be mid-table but they failed to win a league game last month, although they did enjoy a 3-0 away win on the opening day of the season – at Throstle Nest.

Brighouse Town are also taking on the club they opened their campaign against as Trafford journey to the Dual Seal Stadium.

The sides drew 2-2 at the Manchester club’s home back in August and there is little to separate them in the table three months later. Town dropped out of the play off places following a derby draw at Harrogate Railway in their last league game but, in sixth spot, they are immediately above tomorrow’s visitors.

Town cannot climb back into the play off places even with a home win but they do have games in hand on many of their rivals. Trafford have played four games more but would leapfrog Town with a win
