FARSLEY Celtic are still seeking their first Evo-Stik League win of the season in Division One North but earned a point from a difficult away game against Bamber Bridge thanks to Rob O'Brien.

The skipper netted a curling shot from the edge of the area midway through the second half but his side remain 19th in the table.

Alistair Waddecar had put the Lancashire outfit in front just before the break when he lifted the ball over Celts keeper Tom Taylor.

It was good roses derby but a home draw has possibly done Bamber Bridge more harm than good as they lost ground in the table.

The Preston-based outfit are becoming draw specialists after stalemates in four of their five games so far but, like Farsley, are still looking for their first win.

BRIGHOUSE TOWN climbed four places to seventh as close-season signing Danny Facey fired them to a 1-0 win at home to Burscough.

The visitors would have climbed above Town with a victory by a two-goal margin but the home side played well.

Town are averaging two points per game and could improve their position in the early table even more with another home win tomorrow night.

Paul Quinn's men host New Mills, who are rock-bottom after a 1-0 defeat at Warrington left them without a point from six games.
